1、 What is PSE certification

PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan, used to prove that motor and electronic products have passed safety standard tests under the Japanese Electrical and Material Safety Law (DENAN Law) or international IEC standards. According to Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Appliance and Material Control Law), 498 products entering the Japanese market must pass safety certification. Among them, 165 A-class products should obtain the diamond shaped PSE logo, and 333 B-class products should obtain the circular PSE logo.

1. PSE Certification Application Form

2. Factory Inspection Survey Form (when applying for specific electrical supplies)

3. Copy of the business license of the applicant, manufacturer, and production plant

4. Product manual

5. Explanation of differences between various models of products within the same application unit

6. List of key components or main raw materials

7. Product dimension drawings, final assembly drawings, and dimension drawings of each part

8. Authorization certificate issued by the manufacturer (when applicable)

The scope of PSE non-specific electrical equipment certification (341 types in 12 categories) includes wires and cables, fuses, wiring fixtures, transformers/ballasts, wire conduits, small AC motors, electric heating appliances, electric power application appliances, electronic application machinery appliances, light source application machinery appliances, other AC electrical machinery appliances, and so on.

The scope of PSE certification for specific electrical appliances (116 types in 10 categories) includes wires and cables, fuses, wiring fixtures (electrical accessories, lighting appliances, etc.), current limiters, transformers, ballasts, electric heating appliances, electric power application machinery (household appliances), electronic application machinery (high-frequency hair removal devices), other AC electrical machinery (electric shock insecticides, DC power supply devices), portable engines, and more.
