3C certification
1、 What is 3C certification
The full name of 3C certification is "Compulsory Product Certification System", which is a product qualification assessment system implemented by governments of various countries in accordance with laws and regulations to protect consumer personal safety and national security, strengthen product quality management. The so-called 3C certification refers to the mandatory product certification system in China, also known as China Compulsory Certification or CCC in English.
2、 What documents are required for 3C certification
1、 Documents and materials required for initial application or related information changes
Application for Compulsory Product Certification;
Copy of the applicant's "Business License for Enterprise Legal Person" or registration certificate (to be provided during the initial application or change);
Organizational chart of the production plant (provided upon initial application or change);
Apply for certification of product process flow chart (to be provided during initial application or change);
List of key instruments and equipment for routine inspection (see Factory Quality Control Testing Requirements for Certification Implementation Rules) (to be provided upon initial application or change);
Product assembly drawing and electrical schematic diagram;
Apply for certification of product Chinese nameplate and warning mark (in duplicate);
Apply for certification of the Chinese user manual for the product;
Explanation of the differences between various models of products within the same application unit;
Appearance photos of each model of product within the same application unit (in duplicate);
Other relevant information required when needed (if there is a CB test report, please provide it).
2、 Documents and materials required for reapplication of similar products
1. Application for Compulsory Product Certification;
2. Product assembly drawing and electrical schematic diagram;
3. Apply for certification of the Chinese nameplate and warning mark of the product (in duplicate);
4. Apply for certification of the Chinese user manual for the product;
5. Explanation of the differences between various models of products within the same application unit;
6. Appearance photos of various models of products within the same application unit (in duplicate);
7. Other relevant information required when needed (if there is a CB test report, please provide it).
List of Documents Provided for 3C Compulsory Certification Product Testing
When sending samples for product testing, the following information should be provided:
Sample delivery registration form;
Detailed information on CCC application;
Product manual;
Product specification sheet;
Product maintenance manual;
Product circuit diagram (including schematic diagram and printed circuit layout);
Explanation of the differences between the main model product and the covered model product in the same application unit;
List of key components related to product and safety, and list of main components that affect electromagnetic compatibility performance;
Copy of certification certificate for critical safety components of the product;
CB test certificate and report of the product (if any);
Authorization letter for trademark use of the product (if any);
3、 The Importance of 3C Certification
In order to fulfill China's commitments to join the WTO, adapt to the needs of China's market economy development, and establish a technology evaluation mechanism that is in line with international standards, China has established the China Compulsory Certification System (CCC) based on four unified principles.
CCC is a mandatory supervision system for the original import and export commodity safety and quality licensing system (CCIB), safety certification (Great Wall), and network access permit
Replace all or part of the certification system, sales license system, and industrial product production license system.
The State Administration for Market Regulation, in accordance with the work responsibilities assigned by the State Council, issued the mandatory product certification system to the public on December 3, 2001. Since May 1, 2002, the first batch of certification applications for 132 types of products in 19 categories included in the mandatory product certification catalog have been accepted.
On May 1, 2002, law enforcement supervision will be implemented for the certification of these products (now postponed to August 1).
